Why Choose Steel?

An advantage of building with straight-walled steel structures is that you can create larger interior spaces without the need for columns or internal supports up to 200’ in width. Once you exceed this width, some interior support columns will be required. This open space is essential for a variety of recreational activities. Able to be built to varying heights, a steel structure can accommodate a wide range of both sports and recreational activities that require additional vertical space. The clear interior also provides unobstructed views to any spectators.

Provided seamless service from my initial idea, through to completion and follow-up. My project was different and they provided in-depth support including access to engineers to help with designing, they did not take my word for anything (thankfully) and did not make any assumptions about my project

Frequently Asked Questions About Steel Recreational Facilities

Why Are Prefabricated Metal Buildings Ideal for Recreational Sports Facilities?

Prefabricated steel buildings are perfect for your indoor recreational sports facility since they are easy to erect and do not require as much time to build as traditional building materials. They also provide extreme versatility and durability, which are essential for indoor sports facilities. You can also create large interior spaces without the need for internal support or columns, which is perfect for swimming pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, or riding arenas. Furthermore, prefab metal buildings look better than traditional sports buildings, and their clear interior offers unobstructed views to spectators.

Prefab recreational buildings are made from steel, which is lighter when compared to traditional construction materials. Therefore, you will utilize less of a foundation when constructing them. The main reason for the popularity of steel building sports complexes is how easy they are to build.

Steel buildings are a perfect selection for a wide range of recreational applications. Compared to traditional construction materials, their low maintenance requirements and cost make prefab steel buildings an ideal choice for a durable and long-lasting structure.

Do I Need a Foundation for My Building?

A foundation is necessary for most buildings, including prefabricated steel buildings. There are typically two options you can choose. A permanent foundation has a concrete base and only needs a perimeter footer. It uses a “U-Groove” formation for grouting the assembled metal building.

You can also use a portable foundation. This is unique to the buildings at Toro and is made from heavy-duty 14-gauge steel. A portable foundation is usually attached to a solid floating foundation and has a narrower footer than a permanent foundation. Anchor bolts are fitted throughout, and the metal building is assembled and bolted onto the base plate.
